This research focuses on the evolution of Bafuliiru art, highlighting its origins, forms, and functions within society. This art, transmitted primarily through oral tradition, is deeply intertwined with the cultural, social, and spiritual life of this community in South Kivu. Through a historical and analytical approach, the study demonstrates that artistic productions are not limited to aesthetics but fulfill essential roles in rituals, social organization, and the transmission of values. The study also highlights the transformations this art has undergone under the influence of modernity and social change. Finally, the study emphasizes the need to preserve and promote this cultural heritage by fostering its transmission to future generations and its integration into educational programs.
