Bearberry is a book that features a lovable, fluffy character that children will love to follow as he explores Berry Village! The "Ask Questions" section that includes a series of questions that are meant to encourage development of critical thinking, problem solving, foundational reading, conflict resolution, social-emotional and reading comprehension skills. When I read aloud, I also like to remind the child at the beginning of the book that I will be asking them about the book at the end so they are more likely to try to remember details. This way, they are encouraged to listen carefully rather than just casually listening and possibly becoming disengaged.
The "Reread with a Twist" section that includes ideas about how you can make the story even more engaging each time you read it by challenging your young audience while reading the story.
The "Activity" section that includes a fun,simple activity related to the story that young ones will enjoy participating in!
