Benzodiazepines were introduced in the 1950s, and marketed as a non-addictive drug for psychic tension. Time has proven otherwise and these drugs are now known to be responsible for one of the worst medical blunders in history. Many people who take benzodiazepines, (prescribed for sleep or anxiety) are unaware they've developed a dependence and may attribute their withdrawal symptoms to something else entirely.  

This booklet provides an easy to follow, 3-step guide to help you to identify dependence and safely taper off benzodiazepines with minimal stress and disruption to daily life. It will help you to split your daily dose to minimise withdrawal symptoms throughput the day, then change over to a long acting benzodiazepine (Valium) - then taper off. It is aimed at both individuals wanting to detox and health practitioners.
