This is the third and final book of the second series, and continues in 63 C.E., from where the second part of the Caedes left off. It is during the reign of Nero, and also continues the story begun in the Pistorum Thesaurus series. Caisra and Aulus are a year older than in the first series, and their adventures continue. This book begins right where the second part left off as our heroes escape Rome. All story threads begun thus far will be resolved, and there will be some new beginnings.
The text of the book is in Latin, and follows the overall format of the first series of books. A complete sheltered vocabulary is given in the back, targeted to the Intermediate Latin Learner. This series can be used independently of the first series, though it is recommended that first series be used first.
Subjunctive forms are in general avoided, and when used are fully glossed in the footnotes.
