Compy has to take orders from a demanding surgical resident she despises (the feeling is mutual) and she tries to bear his unceasing criticism with fortitude. Only time reveals his true character. Compy lives through tragedy, keeps her head in the face of a life-threatening attack, amd ultimately finds happiness.
