Lists to write, things to buy, people to see, and a version of yourself you're supposed to be: cheerful, organized, generous, and on top of it all. Somewhere in the middle of that, the actual month disappears.
It is not a program. It is not a challenge. It is not something you can fail.
One small thing per day. Twenty-four days. That is the whole calendar.
Open to Day 1 on December 1st. Do whatever is on the page. Close the book and go about your day. That is the entire system.

You cannot do this wrong. You can do it out of order, incompletely, halfheartedly, or in your pajamas at eleven at night. It still counts. This is not a streak app, and there is no notification waiting to guilt you. It is a book. It will be here.
The only version of this book that does not work is the one that stays closed because you are waiting until you have more time or a better attitude.
