This Book examines the growing relationship between crypto currencies and the dark web and analyzes how these technologies have contributed to the emergence of modern cybercrimes. The study explores the concept, evolution, and functioning of crypto currencies and dark web networks, while critically assessing their role in facilitating illegal activities such as money laundering, drug trafficking, ransom ware attacks, cyber fraud, identity theft, terrorism financing, and other forms of organized cybercrime. The research begins by discussing the development of crypto currency as a decentralized digital Currency operating through block chain technology. It explains the characteristics of major crypto currencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, and Zcash and examines how their anonymity and decentralized structure make them attractive for both legitimate and illegitimate purposes. The study further analyzes blockchain technology and anonymous transactions to understand how financial activities are conducted without traditional banking intermediaries.
