Пълно описание

Mental health challenges in the workplace have become an urgent global concern. Beyond diagnosable conditions, employees increasingly face psychosocial stressors such as heavy workloads, poor work-life integration, digital fatigue, job insecurity, and exposure to trauma, many of which have been intensified by recent global disruptions. Addressing these issues requires holistic and proactive approaches that recognize the importance of skilled workplace counselling in supporting employee well-being and organizational resilience. However, gaps remain in how counselling professionals are trained, particularly in relation to workplace-specific contexts, cultural responsiveness, and applied practice. Strengthening the development of effective workplace counselling competencies is therefore essential for fostering healthier, more adaptive, and sustainable work environments. Developing Effective Workplace Counseling Practitioners advances global conversations on the training and development of effective workplace counsellors. In response to rising mental health challenges in organisational settings, this book explores how academic curricula, pedagogical practices, and professional development frameworks can be enhanced to better equip counselling practitioners across diverse contexts. By bringing together scholarly, empirical, and practice-informed contributions, the volume bridges the gap between theory and real-world application. Covering topics such as older adult workers, work-related mental disorders, and the social ecological dimensions of burnout, this book is a fundamental academic resource for graduate and doctoral students, workplace counselors, organizational psychologists, mental health and wellness professionals, human resource personnel, and more.
