Drake Matthews needs to find a reasonably priced apartment since his sister and her wife are moving closer to work. While working as a paramedic, his high school friends, Julia and Caspiam, mentioned they knew someone who needed a roommate. Drake takes this as a sign.
Grace Harper is studying to become an RN and works as a nurse in the ER at Oakridge Medical Center. When her cousin and former roommate, Jas, doesn't return to the apartment after moving in with her husband, Grace has to search for a new roommate. It's not until her cousins, Julia and Caspiam, refer a high school friend to her that the roommate situation will work out.
Except there's one slight problem.
Grace's dad isn't a fan of guys around his daughter. Grace has to keep her dad, Jordin, from finding out her new roommate is a guy while trying not to fall for her roommate. Drake has to keep Grace's dad from throttling him while trying not to get sucked into the black hole called the Harpers.
What we want and what happens are two distinct things.
