There is a lacuna in the field of autobiography-studies, especially women''s autobiographies. This book seeks to fill the gap. What makes it different from other works on women''s autobiographies is the fact that it is an analysis of autobiographies across the East-West boundary. Three of the autobiographies examined are of American women and three of Indian women.
