On the day the pirates landed, Lea was living happily with her tribe on a small island in the Pacific. The pirates destroyed her village, burning it to the ground. Lea falls in love with her sea captain, but they wonder if they can start a life together. The novel Lea, Island Princess Warrior shows the strength of one woman and how her mission is never forgotten. Col. Chuck Sanders is a disabled Vietnam veteran who served in the Marines. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, he now lives with his family in Kurtistown, Hawaii. "Lea initially started out to be a short story. After I gave her life, she seemed to take on her own persona.
