baked with longing -

where the images of mother, father, homeland, earth, and bread intertwine.

A shy attempt to mend the memory

that slips away like water through fingers,

and steps retracing the path to the first soil,

where songs echo across the threshing floors,

and where love grows like wheat,

knowing nothing but pride and dignity.
