The teaching of the course "History of classical Uzbek literature" should be regularly enriched with the latest advances in literary studies and methodological sciences. If this is not done, students' ideas about the history of classical literature will lag behind the development of literary science. In addition, future philologists may ignore effective didactic methods for teaching the acquired knowledge to the younger generation. So that young philologists are not armed with a system of old literary concepts that are not suitable for tomorrow, it is necessary to approach Uzbek literature with a centuries-old history from a completely new angle. Because until then we had not developed the principles of the study of the history of literature in general, and the history of classical literature in particular, on a solid scientific basis. This methodological manual was created as a scientific and practical solution to this problem.
