Grandma,
Living without you feels like an eternity. I never thought that at 10 years old, my life would change over night. I did not get the chance to say goodbye to you, and it hurt my heart to spend my life without you in it. I could not understand why my family had to move away from our home and leave our loved ones behind. My heart felt frozen for a long time. I always wanted you to know that I never forgot about you and that I never stopped loving you. I wrote this poem about how I felt for you. I do not expect anyone to understand what I wrote. At the time, I was this broken-hearted young girl who just wanted to see you again. I made a promise to myself that I would find you again someday. All I wanted to do was share that one moment with you. I will never forget the day I surprised you, and then we were reunited. Following my dreams was a dream come true.
