Freedom from addiction does not begin with stronger willpower. It begins with new life in Christ.
No Longer Bound is an 8-week KJV men's Bible study written for men who are tired of being trapped in cycles of addiction, secret sin, relapse, shame, and defeat. This study does not offer shallow motivation, quick-fix techniques, or self-help promises. It points men to the truth of Scripture, the power of the gospel, and the freedom found only in Jesus Christ.
Addiction is not merely a bad habit to manage. Scripture describes sin as bondage. Many men try to break free through discipline, boundaries, resolve, or guilt, yet continue returning to the same patterns because the heart remains unchanged. Lasting freedom begins not with self-reform, but with being made new in Christ.
This study is designed to be realistic and achievable: 8 weeks, 5 short daily readings per week, each taking approximately 10 minutes. Each day is built around the King James Bible and includes clear teaching, honest heart examination, Christ-centered truth, and a prayer of dependence.
Inside this study, men will be challenged to:
See addiction through the truth of Scripture
Recognize sin as bondage, not merely weakness
Stop trusting willpower, shame, and self-reform
Understand the difference between temporary restraint and true freedom
Face the lies, promises, and hidden costs of addiction
Bring secret sin into the light before God
Depend on Christ for salvation, sanctification, and lasting change
Walk in renewed faith, repentance, obedience, and perseverance
Each daily reading includes:
KJV Scripture to read slowly
Doctrine in plain words
Heart examination questions
Christ-centered truth
A prayer of dependence
No Longer Bound is suitable for personal study, men's accountability, discipleship, jail or recovery ministry, church men's groups, or any man who is ready to stop hiding and begin seeking true freedom in Christ.
This study will not flatter you, and it will not promise easy change. You may struggle. You may fail. But failure does not mean God is finished with you. Real growth often comes through repeated repentance, renewed faith, and steady obedience over time.
If you are ready to stop trusting yourself and start trusting Christ, this study is an invitation to open the King James Bible, face truth honestly, and learn to walk as a man who is no longer bound.
"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." - John 8:36
