John Nagenda (born 25 April 1938) is a former cricketer who played one One Day International in the 1975 World Cup for East and Central Africa. He appeared in one first-class cricket match in England when Central Africa was playing against Sri Lanka in 1975. At one stage Nagenda was the fastest baller in East and Central Africa and played cricket for Uganda. As a writer of fiction and poetry in the 1960s, he is regarded as having been one of the pioneers of writing in East Africa.
He is a Clubsman, belonging to Kampala Club in Uganda, Hurlingham and Beefsteak Clubs in London. John Nagenda is a Senior Media and Public Relations Advisor to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda.
