Otto the Otter always felt like he was a bit different, but he also just knew that he was something special. He had big dreams, big ideas, strong values, and a big heart. But sometimes, he also had a big problem.
The other otters didn't always understand what Otto was talking about or why he acted the way he did in certain situations. Otto knew this because he somehow always knew when something felt off. His belly would tell him right away.
Because of that, he often felt misunderstood. Even though he was surrounded by other otters, Otto often felt alone. He just didn't really fit in.
Otto's mom, Lotta, always wanted her little one to feel loved, safe, and free to be himself. It broke her heart to see her baby struggle, so together they tried to find out why Otto felt so different.
To help figure out why Otto felt so alone and misunderstood, a kind Doctor Otter asked him and Lotta some questions and gave them some special tests.
Now they knew. Otto actually was something special!
ADHD - that sounded scary to him. The doctor talked about a deficit, but Otto never felt like he wasn't thinking or feeling properly. In fact, he couldn't understand why other otters didn't think, feel, or act the way he did.
Otto didn't want to change. He knew that by being himself, he could do great things. He just needed to figure out how to fit in a little better among the other otters.
His time to shine would come. He was sure of that.
Join Otto on the adventure of life and discover how he navigates his journey with his newfound neurodiversity.
