Web applications and APIs are now becoming part of every business. The tools that are used for penetration testing of these applications are also discussed along with the mitigation techniques of the vulnerabilities discussed previously. Lastly, we have mentioned the framework that could be used for designing any Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing tool that is robust, accurate, and efficient having a mixture of both automated and manual testing functionalities that could apply to web applications and APIs pentesting.
