An angel (John Lilly, Jr.) whispered in his ear: "If you want to convince the newspapers that it's an emergency, take photos, exhibit your photos, and then write your articles (your texts)." Mexico offered him an opportunity to look reality in the face. From 1993 to 2005, with a Mexican press card in his pocket, he crisscrossed the country from north to south and from east to west. Little by little, the photography took on its own weight, its independence.
