Aliyah was frozen in place as she felt everything Katie did. The spirits wanted them to know just how bad this was, and they weren't sparing anything as she looked into Katie's fearful eyes.
Aliyah heard the back door slide open but couldn't take her eyes off Katie or their clasped hands that seemed glued together.
"Aliyah? What's wrong?" She heard the worried voice, but the spirits weren't done.
It's like they were speaking into her mind:
Beware of the fallen Angel, the Morning Star, as he searches for something he cannot have. He will wreak havoc. There will be nothing but blood and destruction in his path. The time has come. The Great Battle will soon begin.
There is no hope unless we look to true sacrifice through unconditional love. Love that cannot be had, like his. Only then, after the final sacrifice, will he be sent back to Hell for eternity.
Aliyah blinked several times to see that she and Katie were standing between the two Willow trees in the middle of her backyard. A massive wind blew directly at them, knocking them backward into the wet grass, finally severing their link with the spirits.
