Julia's been sick for days. No, actually it's the effects of her bond that have been making her feels so bad. She had to keep it a secret because who did she bond to? Oh. Yeah. That's right, Xavier, a snarky, jackass, who is also soon to be in line to lead the enemy villain clan of shapeshifters called the 'Others'.The same Others that already had Julia on their radar because some stupid prophecy claiming her to be the one to destroy them one day. Julia, even though she wasn't even ready to be believe she was a shapeshifter. Julia, who couldn't even really shift. Meanwhile she has to be peace keeper between Xavier and Jeremy (her best friend), balance high school and her new-found friendships in the shapeshifting world, and also satisfy the demands of her bonding mark to the last person that anyone would expect or want her to be bonded to. She had so many questions and very few answers. With the imminent threat of The Others looming, coupled with Xavier's flippant behavior, it all had Julia feeling a bit ... Restless.
