The year is 1836. The Vale of Belvoir lies overshadowed by Cradle Mountain, a wild plain abounding with life. Something is disturbing the very fabric of the environment. Se lers have moved in and the spirit man can no longer make sense of his country.
Hannah Richardson, graduate in anthropology, has traveled from England with her friend on a post study working holiday at the Cradle Mountain Lodge. To her surprise and delight she fi nds a research group are in the area, studying the thylacine, on a quest to fi nd viable remains for DNA. This is 1990, a time when resurrecting extinct species, cloning and de-coding DNA are at the forefront of the scientific world.
But her first experience on the mountain leaves her confused. Whose face with red pin point eyes did she see in the window that first dark night, as lightning fl ashed and thunder cracked? As the weeks go by, Hannah begins to see things and feel things which she can't explain. A dark secret lies hidden at the foot of the mountain and Hannah must travel back to England and Europe to try to unravel the mystery.
