The Enduring Wheel follows the journey of a young indigenous woman on the threshold of adulthood who is ripped from shores of her home on the Canadian Shield in North Central Ontario and thrust into a dangerous and unfamiliar world across the border. In the grip of powerful forces, remnants of a colonial kingdom, she navigates danger and uncertainty. Pushed to brink of antihalation, she sets out to harness the power dynamics of the colonial empire. She doesn't break but leaves the path of her ancestors and becomes entangled in circumstances beyond her understanding and control. She is eventually banished from the colonial domain and returns to the sacred land of her home, her people, and ancestors a scarred warrior. She continues a pilgrimage to balance the weight of the world guided by the wisdom of her grandmother's Medicine Wheel, and the knowledge that a coyote will survive where wolves perish.
