An unusual magical creature's accidental arrival brings a modern family together for a heart-warming, action-packed adventure.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR.
Born in November 1950 in Guildford, Surrey, England. I had a very happy childhood indeed.
I think I daydreamed through most of my schooling and happily left school at 15 years old with no qualifications at all.
I then started an apprenticeship at a glassworks and trained as a stained-glass lead-light maker and in many other aspects of the glass trade.
Generally, I ploughed through life as most of us do, with all the ups and downs that that entails. And, to my surprise, I ended my career in a Formula One aerodynamic department as a model-maker. How? That's another story.
I have five children and four grandchildren, and somehow, by accident along the way, I discovered my love for poetry and the written word. This is equalled by my love of nature and all things mechanical.
So I hope you enjoy this little adventure, and to be sure, Dolphis, Alex, Tom, Mia, and of course, Grandad are looking forward to sharing more of their adventures with you in the future.
"You are not a newt, are you? I've not seen one with wings before," said Alex. The little creature opened one of its wings and blew over it, trying to disperse some of the water droplets remaining on its greenly black, finely scaled skin. This first encounter was the start of a magical adventure that, by pure chance just happened to an ordinary boy and his family.
