The world degraded truth to a commodity so as to fit whatever was expedient. Now truth became Prufe which was controlled by the Consortium and its AI managers so that all science was under their oversight. Then a group of scientists searching for other life finally determined that their research was somehow being manipulated by the Consortium's AI managers on the moon and beyond. Their search for how this was taking place leads them to lunar research stations and a discovery that would shake all of mankind. This quest to understand how their discovery would impact both the world and the control of Prufe placed them in peril from the Consortium's AI systems and those who do not want the 'truth' to be told. It's an expedition into who should control truth and the future.
