After the storm, the sea gave back what it had taken.
Children; pale, salt-encrusted, and silent; began to walk the beaches again. They looked like the missing ones from decades past, but they didn't breathe. They didn't blink. And when they smiled, their teeth glittered like glass.
In the seaside ruins of Hearthpoint, Eva is one of the last survivors of a world swallowed by water and memory. The tides whisper her name. The fog moves with purpose. And beneath the waves, something vast and ancient waits; a living ocean that remembers everything humanity has ever done to it.
As the Salt Children return, changed and vengeful, the world becomes their body. The land bleeds brine. The air tastes like grief. And the sea learns to burn.
To save what remains, Eva must awaken the only weapon left; the dying machine that once scarred the ocean's heart; and face the truth that the sea doesn't want to destroy humanity. It wants to become it.
