Nepal truly was an experience that you cannot find anywhere else besides Nepal. It was beautiful once I got past the initial culture shock. For example, the RS 2023 Nepal Team crossed various streets with cars and mopeds racing by, which did almost hit each of us. Everyone drives in a unique way, and I truly loved it. It can be overwhelming when you must ditch motorcycles and moving vehicles each night after dinner, but it has just made me stronger and more passionate for where I have been. Throughout this mission trip through RS for six weeks, I didn't know if God was going to grow me. I look back now on the big picture, and I KNOW God grew me in ways I never expected. I was learning for the first time how to forgive and forget. I had expectations of how I would be serving others, but as my trip leaders would tell the team, our expectations would change.
During the period of personal spiritual growth with my Lord Jesus, my team and I were still serving the Nepali people daily. A day in Nepal consisted of working with children, attending Nepali church services, and much more. The Lord is "calling me higher, and He is calling me deeper. I will go where He leads me" next. Will you be encouraged to do the same? This summer, we learned our position in Christ. Remind yourself of this, and do not worry about where God calls you next. Do not worry about what people think about it because you ARE deeply loved by God, completely forgiven, fully pleasing, powerfully equipped, totally accepted, and complete in Christ! Will you Join the Story no matter what valley you are in or mountain you are on?
