Vitus Swinggate is on the run from authorities and his dark past.
Scheduled to be hanged for his crimes of vengeance, Vitus narrowly escapes with his life into the surrounding wilderness. He befriends a former-slave-turned-hermit who inspires him to rectify his sordid past.
